Rita M. (Tegenkamp) McCabe, 87, of Delphos, died at 6:05 p.m. Friday at Vancrest Health Care Center.
She was born April 29, 1918, in Delphos, to Clement and Louisa (Stopher) Tegenkamp.
She married William F. McCabe, who died Jan. 11, 1997.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas F. (Kathy) McCabe of Delphos and James A. McCabe of Maumee; a son-in-law, Steve Agler; five grandchildren, Kimberly McCabe, Pamela (Travis) Miller, Jodi (Brian Sellers) Bennett, Tricia (Terry) Myers and Derek (Nichole Shumaker) Agler; six great-grandchildren, Treyton and Makya Miller, Lane Bennett, Alonnah Sellers and Kaleb and Tanner Myers; and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Agler; and a sister, Lauretta Steiger.
Mrs. McCabe worked in sales and as a bridal consultant at Elder Beerman. She also worked at the Dairy Whip and Nu Maudes in her earlier years. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Landeck. She was also a member of the Delphos Eagles Lodge 471 and a former member of the Beginning at Eight. She loved to play poker, enjoyed eating out with her friends and looked forward to her traditional Sunday nights with her family.
Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Rev. Charles Obinwa officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
